From Rental Car Company to Mobility Leader

The mobility landscape is rapidly shifting beneath long-established car rental players’ wheels with the rise of ride hailing, car sharing and other new ways to get from here to there. The problem – and opportunity – for Avis Budget Group, parent company of both Avis and Zipcar, was a misalignment of perception and reality. Our job was to get the story of a forward-moving, forward-thinking Avis told and make Avis relevant again.

We developed a new corporate positioning, executive brands, messaging and creative assets, and established a “Moving Mobility Forward” platform that helped Avis stake a leadership claim in the mobility space. We’ve rolled out the new platform to media, analysts and partners through conferences, media tours and multimedia storytelling.

Our work has generated more than 345 editorial placements, tallying nearly 1 billion earned media impressions in the U.S. Coverage has spanned feature-length articles on CNN Money, Fortune, The Verge, Wired.com, Fox Business, Venture Beat and more. Moreover, we drove 300K downloads of Avis’ new app in just six months, designed to get travelers in the driver’s seat and on the road faster, on their terms.
