Opportunity for a Creative and Strategic Director of Business Development

The Opportunity

The Director of Business Development will report to 360PR+’s CEO and work closely with practice leaders and our integrated services team. 360PR+ has expertise in automotive, consumer tech, fashion & beauty, food & beverage, footwear, home goods, publishing, retail, toys & video games, and travel, with significant room to grow in these and other sectors.

Key responsibilities are managing the new business development process, including identifying prospective clients and developing compelling capabilities and proposals. The ideal candidate will bring 5-10 years’ of new business development experience in a creative agency environment, a combination of creativity and a strategic approach to client development, strong organization and process skills, and honed presentation skills. Equally important, she/he will be highly collaborative, with a commitment to the agency’s All In culture.

 

Responsibilities:

 Manage the new business process, including:

  • Proactively identifying opportunities for the agency, as well as helping to qualify in-bound leads
  • Developing a process to maintain contact with prospects and track and measure success
  • Working with senior management to help determine a winning strategy, team casting, proposal scoping and pitch approach
  • In conjunction with pitch teams, developing powerful, compelling capabilities presentations and proposals
  • Communicating work flow to team members

Leading agency marketing, working with the CEO and in-house creative services team and other agency staff and resources:

  • Develop case studies and collateral materials
  • Recommend visibility-building strategies and oversee advertising, awards, email marketing, social media and other marketing initiatives
  • Represent the agency at industry events

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience and accomplishment in business development, including identifying qualified business opportunities
  • Experience in a PR or other agency, either in a business development or client service role, ideally working with CPG brands
  • Experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, including timelines, workflows and budgets, in a fast-moving, rapidly-evolving environment
  • Committed to high-quality work and to building positive and productive relationships with team members
  • Extremely organized, self-starter, capable of taking innovative approaches, setting goals and reporting progress
  • Strong written and verbal communicator, including the ability to listen, interpret and disseminate information to others
